Activities

Our curriculum includes a variety of daily activities designed to help your children grow cognitively, behaviorally, socially and emotionally.

We offer activities that help children develop:

  • language skills (such as encouraging babbling and engaging in simple conversation to expand vocabulary)
  • fine motor skills (such as drawing and holding crayons)
  • gross motor skills (such as jumping, running, walking backwards and sideways, and climbing up and down stairs)
  • cognitive skills (such as memorizing words and following directions)
  • social skills (such as sharing, waiting your turn, and negotiating conflict)

We visit the local library for sing-alongs, we take walks to local parks and we attend occasional play groups at a nearby school. We teach our children to respect one another, recognize personal boundaries and apologize if they’ve hurt someone. We build their self-esteem and encourage them to become problem solvers.

We paint, draw, dance, play with blocks, listen to music, make homemade instruments, practice yoga and do simple science projects, like creating volcanos with baking soda and vinegar. We avoid toys wth electronics and batteries, and instead encourage our children to use their imagination and creativity as they play.
